Here is a picture of me covered in the yellow spotted lizards. (ABOVE)Hello everyone! It is now time for the final segment of my story.
After being at the mountain for more than a week, me and Zero decided that we were going to travel back to the camp and make our way back to society. After a long day of walking, we reached the camp. Me and Zero hid in 2 of the holes until all of the campers were done for the day. We then moved closer to the hole that I had originally found the gold tube in. Once there, we started to dig around in case there was other treasure to be found. We once again digged and digged and digged. But this time we found something. An object was sticking out of the ground. I told Zero about how it seemed to resemble a chest. I tried to pull it out, but the thing wouldn't budge. I tried to dig around it but I feared the wall would collapse. So instead I dug under it to see if I could ply it out from underneath. I wiggled the shovel end up down and to the sides until poof the chest/suitcase came free. But some of the dirt had also caved in. I worried if it had been a big or a small one. But when i reached down and dug in the dirt, I found that there was only a minor cave in. Now pulling the briefcase out of the hole, I handed the briefcase to Zero. Then out of nowhere a flashlight beam hit me straght in the face. " Thank-you," said the Warden " You boys have been a good help."

The Warden and the counselors had caught us red-handed. They were about to take the briefcase from Zero when the light illuminated a frightening sight. Both me and Zero were covered in yellow spotted lizards!!!!!!! The counselors were worried if they came to close they would be bitten. So both them and the Warden kept their distance. So there we stood, for hours, upon hours, upon hours. Until daylight started to force the lizards back down into the hole from where they came. The warden and the counselors during the night had been trying to figure out a cover story for his death. Apparently the day before we had returned to camp a lawyer had came to collect Stanley. For he had been found innocent after an investigation of the crime. After a bit more of waiting Mr.Pendanski said that it was getting close to 4:30 and that the campers were going to wake up soon. The Warden told all the counselors to return to their groups and instruct the campers that would not have to dig any hole as long as they stayed quiet, and that if they did they would be severely punished.
After much more waiting I heard the sound of approaching cars, I then heard the cars stop and the door's open and shut. Later on I saw Mr.Pendanski followed by two strangers. the first one was a large man wearing a bussiness suit and a cowboy hat, the second one was a short women holding a briefcase. They both stopped and stared at us when they saw we were covered in the lizards. "What in tarnation?" the tall man said. The Warden tried to give a phony story about how me and Zero had stolen the briefcase from her cabin. I tried to protest but my "lawyer" said it was best that I didn't say anything until we had talked in private. Then the lawyer continued to argue with the Warden about why she hadn't released me when she came yesterday. The Warden led that I had been delirious and hallucinating for the last few days. (Obviously to cover up my absence.) I tried to get out of the hole once the lizards had traveled back into the hole. I climbed out mostly using my arms so as not to disturb the lizards. Then I helped Zero to his feat after the lizards had ran away from him. "Thank God!!" The Warden said. ( even though she didn't really care) Then she started to reach for the suitcase that Zero was still holding but Zero held it away from her and told her that she can't have have it for it was mine. He then held it up and pointed to the big black letters that read STANLEY YELNATS!!!!!!!!!
They walked back to camp. Apparentley the tall man was the Texas Attorney General and the lady was my lawyer Ms.Morengo. Once again the Warden treid to lie her way to the suitcase. "I didn't say that he stole the suitcase from my cabin but that he put my things in it." " That wasn't hat you said earlier." replied Ms.Morengo. The Warden then demanded that I open the suitcase, but Ms.Morengo said that I shouldn't open it. I listened to Ms.Morengo and didn't open the case. Mr.Sir walked over with my clothes and backpack. Ms.Morengo then hurried me away, but I stopped and turned to Zero. He gave me a thumbs up. I said that I wouldn't leave him behind. So Ms. Morengo asked for his file. (But in their haste to not reveal that they had gone missing they had deleted his file;0) The Warden just stared at her. Ms.Morengo said it again, losing patience. This time the Warden asked Mr.Pendanski to get her the file, and this time it was his turn to stare at her blankly. She then shouted a him to get her the file. He went inside and then came back out saying that it had apparently become misplaced. When the Attorney General heard of this he was outraged, then with much assurences top Ms.Morengo he went inside to call his office to find Zero's file. Just then X-Ray, Squid, Armpit, Magnet, ZigZag and Twitch (Zero's replacement after he had ran away) came out to greet us and say goodbye. After using the phone, the man walked out and said that his office as well was having a hard time finding his file. Ms.Morengo then told Zero that he was coming with us for the Warden had no juristiction over him.
In the car Ms.Morengo told us about how I was found innocent. For it was at 3:15 the shoes were stolen but Derrick Dune (the bully) told them how I had been in the wash room at 3:20 getting my notebook out of the toilet. Then she went to tell us about how my dad had invented a way to get rid of foot odour.Later on when we opened the case, we found tons of jewels and a stack of papers. But sadly, the jewels were of poor quality and only were worth a few thousand dollars. The papers however were worth loads, and in the end me and Zero both recieved just under a million dollars. -Stanley
